Our Story
Northeast Data Group, formerly known as The Amaral Group, was founded in 1998 by Joe Amaral, a passionate engineer who believed that reliable technology and honest partnerships could transform how organizations operate.
For more than three decades, Joe built a team of highly skilled engineers and customer-focused IT professionals who shared his vision:

Today, as Northeast Data Group under the ownership of Evan LeBlanc, a long time employee of Amaral Group, we continue that mission with the same leadership, the same technical expertise, and the same dedication to doing what’s right for our clients.

Meet Our Leadership Team
Evan LeBlanc
Owner & Senior Engineer
Evan has been working in IT since the early 2000’s as a tech for his high school. He received the excellence in technology award from Mount Saint Charles Academy, then went on to graduate from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2009. With significant experience in managing complex infrastructure, Evan has a detailed understanding of security as well as infrastructure automation and deployment.
Jason Latour
Senior Network Engineer
A Northeastern University Graduate, Jason brings over 25 years of experience in complex network and infrastructure design to all of his clients and projects. Aside from senior level networking, Jason also has significant experience in managing on-prem Microsoft Exchange environments and migrations to Exchange Online. Jason specializes in C level advisory, as well as senior level project design, leadership, and implementation.
Jackie Kang
Systems & Cloud Engineer
A Computer Science graduate from University of California Davis, Jackie has strong problem-solving skills that he brings to his daily interactions with clients. Jackie strives to provide timely, and high-level support to all – by taking the time to thoroughly understand all of their business needs in order to created tailored, vendor agnostic solutions
Tyler Stewart
Systems & Cloud Engineer
A student athlete at Wentworth Institute of Technology, Tyler Graduated in the summer of 2025 with a Bachelors in Computer Science. We are excited for him to bring his passion of technology, and problem-solving to the team.
Shella Dewi
Business Development Manager
With a strong background in marketing and client engagement, she plays a key role in expanding partnerships, driving growth opportunities, and ensuring solutions meet the evolving needs of modern businesses. She collaborates closely with internal teams to deliver scalable, vendor-neutral solutions tailored to each client.
Zach Matook
Marketing & Web Development
Zach comes from a marketing and sales background in the tech and music industries. He is currently the Brand Director for SJC Drums and runs his agency (Brand Management Services), helping local business scale through marketing initiatives and strategies.
Josh Nachbar
Senior Platform Engineer & M.S in Cyber Security
Working at the intersection of systems and creative thinking, Josh has focused on computer security and performance optimization since the mid-2000s. His experience spans cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, containers, and CI/CD architecture, serving local, state, and federal government as well as large enterprises across multiple industries, with expertise in both hands-on implementation and system architecture.
